Classes in Physical Education are taken by most ninth grade students as one year of either PE or ROTC is required for graduation. These courses include the Comprehensive Health Education program that is mandated by the state. In addition to these basic classes, students have the opportunity to take additional courses in PE, as well as Weightlifting classes that are very popular with our athletes. Our new school provides excellent facilities for these activities, including an auxiliary gym that allows for different sports to take place concurrently.
The Physical Education department consists of Andy Swords and Ben Touchberry. Dr. Tommy Plumblee is our Athletic Director and also works with the program.
