The Daniel Lions were defeated 35-28 by the Ridge View Blazers in the state playoffs on Thursday. After falling behind early, the team fought back hard all game but fell short in their final comeback attempt in the fourth quarter.
All of us would like to congratulate the team on an excellent season. The Lions went undefeated during the regular season and were region champions. This week's lost ends the season with an impressive 11-1 record. Great job guys!
Congratulations also to our Cross Country teams for their strong showing in the state championships this week. The girls finished fourth in the state 4A competition and the boys came in 12th. Mari Cagle Lockhart was the 4A girls champion, winning the title for a record fourth time! Great job!
