Congratulations to Mrs. Amy Norris and Mrs. Judy Edwards as they were named our Teacher of the Year and Support Employee of the Year respectively. These honors were announced Friday morning at our annual Awards Day ceremony.
Mrs. Norris is a long-time math teacher at Daniel, as well as a graduate of DHS. She has two children graduating from Daniel this year, so she is a Lion to the core. In addition to teaching algebra, Mrs. Norris has worked with our after-school tutoring programs and is always willing to go the extra mile to help out students.
Mrs. Edwards works in the office as a grading coordinator. She helps teachers with our online grading programs, runs grade reports for our administration and Guidance Department, and prints progress reports and report cards. Always ready to assist faculty members and seemingly knowing the answer to every possible question, Mrs. Edwards has become an indispensable cog in the Daniel machine.
All of us at Daniel would like to thank both Mrs. Norris and Mrs. Edwards for their hard work and dedication to DWD. They are both well-deserving of these rewards.
