Members of the Daniel Computer Science class traveled to Alpharetta, Georgia last week to visit the to Hi-Rez Game Design Studio.  This is the world headquarters of the video game company that has designed popular video games such as Smite and Paladins.  The group was given behind-the-scenes tours by their Public Relations Specialist and by a Lead Technical Animator.

The students saw the inner workings of the facility and were able to witness the company's culture of employee collaboration and get a feel for the working environment in a modern technological company.  The company employs more than two hundred at its Georgia site and also has design facilities in China and the United Kingdom.  With the growing demand for computer programmers, this was an excellent opportunity for our students to see what it is like to work in this field.

Students participating in the trip were Riley Kelley, Benjamin McIntyre, Thaddeus Major, Wyatt Dorris, Daniel Malone, Quentin Kelley, Samuel Wyant, Isaac Linthicum, Wesley Shaw, Gabe Schlise, Ted Smith, and Davis Morris.  They were accompanied by Daniel computer science teacher Jon Parker.
