A variety of tests are given to students at Daniel High each year as required by state law. These sometimes change from year to year, but include the ACT or SAT and the WIN tests which are normally given to juniors each year. Most juniors also choose to take the SAT and many juniors and sophomores take the PSAT.

Students also have the opportunity to take the ASVAB and Accuplacer tests. The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery test should be taken by anyone considering a career in the military, while the Accuplacer test is needed for students planning to attend a technical school.  This includes students who plan to take dual credit courses during their senior year.
